About the angle symbol

In geometry, the angle symbol is placed between three labeled points to denote the angle formed at the middle vertex, as in ∠ABC. It also appears in trigonometry and other branches of mathematics to indicate an unknown or measured angle, typically followed by a degree value or an algebraic variable. The character is part of the Mathematical Operators block and is treated as a standard math symbol across computing systems.
