About the wavy overline symbol

A short horizontal line that undulates in three gentle waves, like a flattened sine curve, sits at the baseline of text. It is a typographic ornament used primarily in East Asian text layout to mark a proper noun, title, or to indicate a special reading, similar in function to a wavy underline but positioned above or in line with characters rather than beneath them.
