About the sun symbol

The symbol is read as “sun” and is commonly spoken as “the sun symbol” or simply “sun” in astronomical and astrological contexts. It represents the Sun as a celestial body, appearing in diagrams of the solar system, on maps for weather or solar orientation, and as the glyph for the Sun in Western astrology.
